The Invisalign® process begins with a visit to our New York City office, during which Dr. Rubinstein will take a mold of your teeth and mouth. He will send this mold to the Invisalign® laboratory, where technicians will use it to custom-craft a full set of trays designed to guide your teeth to their final, aligned position. The lab will send your first set of Invisalign® trays to our office, where you will pick them up and receive detailed instructions on how to wear them. The lab will send each subsequent set of trays to your residence; you will simply change out the trays as they arrive. Patients who use the Invisalign® trays as directed – wearing them day and night, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss – may be able to complete treatment in as little as 18 months. After completing Invisalign® treatment, many patients choose to polish their smiles with teeth whitening.
